Psycho-Educational and Process Groups/Lectures

Psycho-educational groups/lectures are often used in therapy to provide clients with a wide range of skills and knowledge as a foundation for their recovery efforts.  Through this knowledge, clients are better able to begin to understand the more objective information regarding their addictions and criminal thinking.  At THE PROGRAM, we educate our clients on topics such as, but not limited to life skills development, stress management, health and nutrition and exercise physiology.  Clients have been afforded the opportunities to participate in yoga and other exercise groups.

Process groups allow clients the opportunity to discuss more subjective information on a wide variety of topics to gain feedback, coping skills, and motivation to assist in the goal of recovery.  It has been found that group therapy is an essential part of treatment due to its importance in providing different view points from other individuals experiencing the same problems in hopes that they can come together as a whole and develop solutions.  At THE PROGRAM, we provide process groups on:
