Our Successes

THE PROGRAM has consistently had one of the lowest recidivism rates in the nation.  A 1995 study performed by the University of Pittsburgh on the agency’s entire service population documented an unparalleled 15% recidivism rate among its clients; this rate has held steady (14.5% recidivism at 6-months post release), according to a three-year program evaluation conducted between 2009-2012 by Hide Yamatani, Ph.D. of Excellence Research Inc. and the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Yamatani’s recent study is published on the National Institute of Corrections online library.  Click on the following link to view the entire document, “THE PROGRAM for Offenders: Comprehensive Evaluation and Cost/Benefit Analysis of a Community Corrections Facility”.
